Be Flexible When Interest Rates are Low
If you are looking for some good investment ideas to get income from your investment portfolio – here they are.
The Fed has indicated that they will not be raising short term interest rates in the near future. So, CD rates will continue to be low. Many of the 4-5 years CD's we have available, yield just under 3%. Two year treasuries that are "laddered" will allow you to take advantage of rising interest rates in the future. Want to pump up your overall return without a lot of risk?? Consider a bond or income fund or even a preferred stock with good dividend payouts.
Willing to take on extra risk? Purchase dividend paying stock. We can supply a list of Standard and Poor's companies that have increased dividends in each of the past 25 years.
Need to rebuild your investment portfolio? Plan on doing it with the same financial advisor who "helped" you before? Don't think that makes sense? Call us for a second opinion.
